One aspen leaf face-up on bare dirt, stem still red.
Before dropping a leaf, an aspen pulls the nutrients back into itself, then grows a layer of cells at the base of the stem and severs it. That red stem is the cut. The color everyone photographs is what is left after the tree took back everything worth keeping.

- Matte finish reduces glare and holds fine texture
- Ships unframed; slight size tolerance due to production
Care instructions
- Frame behind glass and keep out of direct sun. Wipe gently with a clean, dry cloth.
