One aspen leaf face-up on bare dirt, stem still red.
Before dropping a leaf, an aspen pulls the nutrients back into itself, then grows a layer of cells at the base of the stem and severs it. That red stem is the cut. The color everyone photographs is what is left after the tree took back everything worth keeping.
Materials
- Matte-finish cotton/poly canvas stretched over a 1.25" pine frame
- Printed with Greenguard Gold certified latex inks
- Sustainably sourced radiata pine frame
- Back-hanging hardware included; rubber dots on the back corners
- Slight size tolerance of +/- 1/8" due to production
Care instructions
- Dust gently with a dry cloth. For a mark that will not lift, a barely damp cloth, then dry.
