A wind-shaped limber pine holding a rock outcrop, half the crown bare grey wood, half still in cones.

On the oldest exposed pines the bark dies back to a single living strip up the sheltered side, and the dead wood beside it is slowly worn away by windblown ice and sand. The tree is not losing. It is narrowing.

Care instructions

- Dust gently with a dry cloth. For a mark that will not lift, a barely damp cloth, then dry.
