They just happened to be standing on it.

Outer bark is already dead. The tree grows underneath and shoves outward until the plates split, so every crack is a record of growth rather than damage. The resin over it is the tree answering something that got through.

Care instructions

- Dust gently with a dry cloth. For a mark that will not lift, a barely damp cloth, then dry.
