Four pieces, all on metal. Two of them are hearts — one that split out of a boulder over a winter, one that two people cut into an aspen and the tree scarred over and kept. The other two are lichen and wildflowers, which is most of what I do. These are not best sellers. They are the four I keep coming back to.
None of these give themselves away at a glance. I usually do not know what I photographed until weeks later, when I finally look it up — and that is the part I like best. Ask what a thing came through, and it stops being a picture of a rock.
